BAFTAs viewers fume as Friends star Matthew Perry left out of In Memoriam tribute
BBC BAFTAs viewers were left fuming on Sunday night as they spotted the major snub during the In Memoriam segment of the ceremony, which paid tribute to those who had died in the last 12 months
The segment ended with a clip of Sir Michael Gambon as Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films, leaving fans heartbroken as they remembered the Hollywood icon who died in late September 2023. The actor, who played Chandler Bing in the hit American sitcom, was found “unresponsive in the pool at his residence ” on 28 October before being pronounced dead at the scene.
