According to their prices on betting sites, a number of megastar contenders look set to dominate the awards ceremony - with Sarah Lancashire, Matthew MacFayden and Happy Valley leading the favourites. Around 7.5 million viewers watched the climax to BBC1 drama Happy Valley, which saw escaped convict Royce set himself ablaze in the kitchen of the embattled officer – making it one of the most-watched single shows of the year In what looks set to be one of the closest-fought contests of the night, Elizabeth Debicki is Evens favourite on betting sites with a 50% chance of scooping the award, followed by Siobhan Finneran for her performance in Happy Hour at 6/4 (40%).
