BAFTA Film Awards Nominations: ‘Conclave’ and ‘Emilia Pérez’ Lead While ‘Wicked’ Shut Out of Best Film
The British Academy is revealing the nominees for the 2025 film awards.
Further down, and underlining the open field that has emerged during this year’s awards season, “The Substance,” “The Brutalist” and “A Complete Unknown” each landed on 11 longlists, “Wicked” and “Dune: Part Two” on 10 and “Anora” and “Gladiator 2” on nine. This year’s crop of breakthrough talent in the running include Marisa Abela(“Back to Black”), Jharrel Jerome (“Unstoppable”), David Jonsson(“Alien: Romulus”), Mikey Madison(“Anora”) and Nabhaan Rizwan (“In Camera”). The BAFTA film awards ceremony will take place Feb. 16 at London’s Royal Festival Hall on the South Bank, with “Doctor Who” star David Tennant returning as host.
