Backers Of Rebel Wilson’s Directorial Debut ‘The Deb’ Sue Her Over Scathing Charge They Nixed Toronto Fest Closer Premiere For Spite; New Venue Is LA Superior Court
Rebel Wilson is being sued for defamation by the producers of her directing debut 'The Deb' over comments she made about them this week.
Rebel WilsonBrendon Thorne/Getty Images Suit comes from producers Amanda Ghost and Gregory Cameron and exec producer Vince Holden, whom Wilson accused of “vile and disgusting behavior” and blocking the film from a closing night Toronto Film Festival premiere. Per the just-filed 12-page complaint ( read it in fill here): “Defendant Rebel Wilson has a history of fabricating false and malicious lies to hide her own lack of professionalism and advance her own self-interest. As a consequence to Wilson, Ghost, Holden and Cameron are seeking a variety of unspecified damages, with more to be determined by the court.
