What makes it therefore fascinating is how a very vague tweet turned into a lightning rod for all sorts of issues-advertising religion, morality, personal freedoms, and national identity. While the intended meaning of the original tweet remains unclear one way or another, the response it received loud and clear says much about contemporary digital culture wherein each post has become a Rorschach blot test for one’s deepest-held beliefs and biases.
