Ayo Edebiri Scores DGA Nomination For Directorial Debut On ‘The Bear’ Season 3
Ayo Edebiri has been nominated for a DGA Award for the first episode of television she's ever directed
After making her directorial debut on Season 3 of The Bear, Ayo Edebiri has been recognized by the Directors Guild of America for her work. At the Los Angeles premiere of The Bear Season 3 in June, Edebiri told Deadline that she cried when reading the Episode 6 script for the first time. While this is her first directing nod, Edebiri has received several awards for her acting work on The Bear, including the Primetime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2023.
