Avid Names Wellford Dillard as CEO
Avid named Wellford Dillard CEO, succeeding Jeff Rosica, who announced retirement plans last fall.
Avid — the maker of the widely used Media Composer editing system and ProTools audio post production tool — named Wellford Dillard as its CEO, succeeding Jeff Rosica, who is staying with the company in an advisory role during the transition. Said STG managing partner William Chisholm and principal Patrick Fouhy in a released statement: “[Dillard] has an exceptional background leading software businesses and bringing a wealth of valuable experience to Avid. In addition, we want to express our sincere gratitude to Jeff for his leadership and contributions to the company during his tenure as CEO and for his commitment in helping to ensure a successful transition prior to his retirement.”
