Ava Phillippe spoke out in several social media posts on May 3 about the 'toxic' comments she had received about her weight, saying, 'No one deserves to be picked apart for what they look like.'

On May 3, the influencer and artist, 24, shared a post on her Instagram Stories calling out some of her social media followers who had commented on her body. "[No big deal] but I just achieved a major milestone as a woman online..." she wrote over the clip, which showed her posing candidly in a bathroom mirror. Ava also took a moment to add a disclaimer, noting that she's seen these comments being aimed "disproportionately to young girls & women," and adding a clarification: "But let me be clear; bodyshaming is toxic no matter who the subject is.
