Australian Idol judges break family boy band's heart by only choosing two of the four members: 'We're cutting off the bits we don't want'

The Australian Idol judges shocked a family boy band during Tuesday's episode by only choosing two of its four members to advance to the next round.

Judges Kyle Sandilands, 52, Marcia Hines, 70, and Amy Shark, 37, were speaking to three brothers and a cousin from Brisbane who wanted to audition as a group. The judging panel were chatting to 18-year-old Shaylee Gear from the Gold Coast who told them she would be performing Adele's ballad Make You Feel My Love. She then performed a pitch perfect and heartbreaking version of Bob Dylan's pop staple, which has been covered by many artists including Adele and Ronan Keating.
