Austin Butler Responds to Rumors of Starring in 'Pirates of the Caribbean' Reboot

The 32-year-old The Bikeriders actor addressed the possibility of joining the franchise in an interview with ET. Last month, rumors spread online that he would star in a reboot of the massively popular franchise for Disney around mid-May, when The DisInsider reported that after years of trying to work with the star, and even potentially considering him for the live-action Hercules, they want him for Pirates of the Caribbean. The last of the original Pirates of the Caribbean films, Dead Men Tell No Tales, was released in theaters in 2017.
