Aussie TV personality reveals why you should celebrate your birthday on a different date: 'I had a lightbulb moment'

Shelly Horton has advocated for people born on major public holidays to celebrate their birthday on a different date - even if it means celebrating it months later.

Horton added that by giving people the freedom to reschedule their birthday celebrations, they were able to fully enjoy what should be their most special day. The presenter requires the surgical procedure, which removes a woman's uterus, due to severe perimenopausal symptoms and heavy bleeding. Horton has been open in the past about why she doesn't want to have children with her husband, and they are perfectly content to be raising a family that includes two dogs instead.
