Aussie Oscars are back! Boy Swallows Universe leads the way at the 2025 AACTA Awards with a record-breaking 22 nominations while Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth are recognised for box office flop Furiosa


Australia's biggest film and TV awards, dubbed the 'Aussie Oscars '. are set to return to the Gold Coast in February and a whole host of local talents have been recognised.

Phoebe Tonkin has also nabbed a nomination for Best Leading Actress in a Drama, where she is up against the likes of Fake's Asher Keddie and Thou Shalt Not Steal's Sherry-Lee Watson and High Country's Leah Purcell, among others. Australia's biggest film and TV awards, dubbed the 'Aussie Oscars' are set to return to the Gold Coast in February and Chris Hemsworth has been nominated for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga Better Man, directed by The Greatest Showman's Michael Gracey and slated for release on Boxing Day, charts the true story of Robbie's stratospheric rise to global fame, but has a unique touch as the singer is portrayed on screen by a CGI monkey.
