Audacy, the radio broadcast and podcasting company that emerged from bankruptcy last fall, is laying off about 200 employees.

We are streamlining resources to stay competitive in a rapidly evolving media landscape and to best position Audacy to continue serving listeners and advertisers with excellence.” The spokesperson declined to confirm how many employees are being let go. The one-time publicly traded company emerged from bankruptcy in September 2024 under a new ownership group led by controlling shareholder Soros Fund Management.
