Aubrey Plaza is seen with crutches in NYC as star recalls being PARALYZED after unexplained stroke at age 20

Aubrey Plaza, 40, was spotted using crutches during a lowkey outing in New York City as she left her hotel on Monday - after tearing her ACL in July.

The project is set to hit theaters later this month on September 27 - and also stars Adam Driver, Giancarlo Esposito, Nathalie Emmanuel, Jon Voight, Shia LaBeouf and Jason Schwartzman. The premise follows, 'The city of New Rome is the main conflict between Cesar Catilina (Driver) a brilliant artist in favor of a utopian future, and the greedy mayor Franklyn Cicero (Esposito).' The star - who is preparing for the release of her upcoming film Megalopolis - stopped by The Howard Stern Show on Wednesday and got candid about her experience with paralysis following an explained stroke at age 20; seen in May in Cannes
