Ashlee Simpson exclusively told Us Weekly that Jessica Simpson is doing well while working on new music after her split from Eric Johnson
Simpson, 44, confirmed their decision to part ways in a statement on Monday, January 13, which read, “Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage. That same month, a source exclusively told Us that Jessica and Johnson, 45, were “living separately” while the pair were “trying to figure out a separation.” According to a second insider, the two also planned on “being all together for the holidays with the kids.” (The exes, who wed in 2014, share kids Maxwell, 12, Ace, 11, and Birdie, 5.) After Jessica rose to stardom in 1999 with the release of her debut album Sweet Kisses, her younger sister, Ashlee Simpson, served as one of her back-up dancers before embarking on her own career in the music industry.
