Artem Chigvintsev Was Not Returning for 'DWTS' Season 33 Before Arrest
Us Weekly can confirm Artem Chigvintsev was not set to compete on 'Dancing With the Stars' season 33 before being arrested for domestic violence
Chigvintsev was arrested on a felony domestic violence charge in Napa County, California, where he resides with wife Nikki Garcia and their 4-year-old son, Matteo, on Thursday, according to online jail records. The ABC reality competition series was officially renewed in May, and the first season 33 contestant, Olympic gymnast and viral sensation Stephen Nedoroscik, was announced in August. In an Instagram post of her own, Garcia shared a montage of clips from their French nuptials set to Haley Reinhart ’s cover of Elvis Presley ’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”
