In dozens of texts – apparently quoted by Angelova verbatim – Hammer shared dark sexual fantasies that involved inflicting harm and even death in a bid to consume her. But in fact, two women – Dallas-based app founder Courtney Vucekovich and professional skier-turned-Instagram model Paige Lorenze – came forward with their own accounts of ‘traumatic’ experiences with Hammer the very next year. Angelova says that she repeatedly refused Hammer’s invitations to join him in New York, Saudi Arabia and Canada – all places where, she alleges, he told her he intended to inflict ‘torture’ upon her.
