Ariana Grande Will Bring ‘The Boy Is Mine’ Full Circle With Brandy and Monica Remix

Ariana Grande has announced a new remix of 'The Boy Is Mine,' featuring Brandy and Monica, famous for their own 1998 hit, 'The Boy Is Mine.'

On Instagram, Grande announced the remix, writing, “I ……… cannot believe this is real (i don’t know if i will even long after it’s out).” She went on to thank Brandy and Monica, “not only for joining me for this moment, but for your generosity, your kindness, and for the countless ways in which you have inspired me.” The “Boy Is Mine” remix with Brandy and Monica comes as no surprise considering the two R&B greats also made cameos in Grande’s recent music video for the Eternal Sunshine single. In an interview with Zane Lowe back in March, Grande discussed her love of Brandy and Monica’s “The Boy Is Mine,” and outlined her intentions with her own version: “I’ve always wanted to reimagine that song in some kind of way,” she said, adding: “There is a large group of my fans that really do love a bad girl anthem.
