Ramsey started off by reading the teleprompter, saying that the songs nominated in the category were “delivered by some of the most famous voices in the music industry.” Ramos then named Billie Eilish, Lenny Kravitz and Dua Lipa. DeBose’s reaction to the joke was not favorable as she is not only an actress but a singer who won an Academy Award for her role as Anita in Steven Spielberg’s 2021 musical film adaptation of West Side Story. The singer and actress was nominated at this year’s Critics Choice Awards in the Best Song category for her performance of “This Wish,” featured in the Disney animated film Wish.
