Are Serial Killers Born or Bred That Way? ‘Dexter: Original Sin’ Teaser Has Opinions

The original series ran for eight seasons, following serial killer Dexter Morgan (then played by Michael C. Hall) as he battled with his conscience and his “dark passenger,” the devil on his shoulder that pushed him to kill people he believed deserved it. Actor Patrick Gibson plays Dexter in the new series, with Christian Slater portraying his lovingly encouraging dad, Harry, who teaches the budding butcher a “code” by which to kill only the right people. They say it takes a village to raise a killer.” Clips of Gibson staring dementedly, à la Hall, and running through plastic-draped kill rooms, as well as Slater giving him a good talking-to play as he speaks.
