Apple TV+ is stepping up to the plate for a three-part docuseries on the 2024 World Series, Variety has learned exclusively. Emmy winner R.J. Cutler is directing and executive producing under his This Machine banner, which is set up at Sony Pictures Television. The streaming arm of the tech giant also currently airs “The Dynasty: New England Patriots” (another Imagine Documentaries production) as well as “Messi’s World Cup: The Rise of a Legend,” and “Stephen Curry: Underrated.” Apple TV+ is also currently prepping an untitled film about the life and carerr of Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton.
