Apple Studios has been sued by a Native American costume designer on Killers of the Flower Moon for excluding her from awards consideration, allegedly in retaliation for raising complaints of discrimination. She takes issue with the notation being removed at West’s request and being applied to all assistant costume designers, including those in secondary roles. The complaint, which names West and the Costume Designers Guild, brings claims for breach of contract, false advertising, retaliation, and intentional and negligent infliction of emotional distress.
