The current morning team — Symone Sanders Townsend, Michael Steele and Alicia Menendez — are moving to the 7 p.m. Scott Matthews will serve as MSNBC’s senior vice president of newsgathering. Jordan previously served in press and communications roles in the George W. Bush administration, including in the White House and at the National Security Council and State Department.
