Antiques Roadshow guest refuses to sell item after record-breaking £1million valuation


Antiques Roadshow expert and jewellery specialist Geoffrey Munn left one guest totally lost for words after he gave a record-breaking valuation for a Faberge masterpiece

In a memorable edition of Antiques Roadshow, expert Geoffrey Munn examined a Faberge sculpture of a pear blossom owned by the Worcestershire army regiment. The item was valued at an estimated £1,000,000 (Image: PA)"It's rock crystal, it's icy cold even on this hot day, and it's immensely difficult to carve." When asked what the item meant to the regiment, the guest said: "I think when it was presented by Lady Dudley, she did it to recognise the sacrifice of those soldiers that didn't come back from the war and those that were injured.
