Anthony Mackie Takes the Shield in First ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ Teaser
Anthony Mackie takes up the Captain America mantle in the first teaser for 'Captain America: Brave New World,' arriving next February.
The new teaser opens with Sam meeting with President Thaddeus Ross (now played by Harrison Ford, following the death of William Hurt in 2022) to discuss the future of Captain America. The teaser doesn’t offer much more in the way of plot, just a whole lot of big action and fight sequences, ominous descriptions of shifting power balances, and Ross menacingly telling Wilson, “You may be Captain America, but you’re not Steve Rogers.” There’s also a brief glimpse at the character played by Giancarlo Esposito — who just joined the film this year amidst a flurry of re-shoots — and the trailer ends with the big stand-off between Captain America and the Red Hulk, who makes his much-anticipated MCU debut in Brave New World.
