After 'The Falcon and the Winter Soldier', Anthony Mackie is taking Captain America's look back to basics in 'Brave New World'.

The Captain America: Brave New World star called the goggles-laden, half-helmet headpiece his “worst nightmare” after Wakanda gifted his character Sam Wilson the blue and white ensemble in the Disney+ show’s finale. In Brave New World, premiering Friday, Feb. 14 in Imax, Mackie’s Sam returns to a more classic blue and red Captain America look, reminiscent of Chris Evans ‘ version. Mackie previously opened up to Deadline about the reaction to Sam taking on the Captain America shield in the Falcon and Winter Soldier finale and the significance of the hero now being portrayed by a Black actor.
