Anonymous Content Signs ‘Surrounded’ Filmmaker Anthony Mandler
Anonymous Content has signed Anthony Mandler, director of the 2023 Western 'Surrounded' starring Letitia Wright.
Most recently, Mandler directed and produced the MGM Western drama Surrounded, starring Letitia Wright, Jamie Bell and the late Michael K. Williams, which premiered at the Sun Valley Film Festival and was released digitally in June 2023. Written by Radha Blank, Cole Wiley and Janece Shaffer, the film based on the 1999 YA novel by Walter Dean Myers premiered at Sundance, where it was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize – Dramatic. Prior to his move into narrative storytelling, Mandler made his mark in the music video scene as one of the industry’s most coveted directors by directing generational talents including Rihanna, Taylor Swift, The Killers, Jay-Z, The Weeknd, Drake, and many more.
