Anne Hathaway confirms she'll be in Princess Diaries 3 as Disney reveals third movie is in the works
Anne Hathaway and Julie Andrews starred in 2001's The Princess Diaries plus its 2004 sequel, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, and both films were directed by the late Garry Marshall.
A third installment of Princess Diaries will definitely be coming to the big screen as it's been revealed that Disney have hired Adele Lim to direct the next movie in the popular franchise, but there's still no confirmation on whether or not Anne Hathaway will return. Lim, who is best known for writing Crazy Rich Asians, told Variety in a statement: 'As a diehard fan of the original Princess Diaries, I’m beyond excited to be a part of bringing the third iteration of this beloved franchise to life. However, it seems The Devil Wears Prada actress is yet to officially sign on to the project - but that didn't stop fans hoping and praying.
