Anna Friel flashes a smile and takes a cigarette break while filming scenes for her hard-hitting new BBC drama in Liverpool
Anna Firel was seen on the set of Jimmy McGovern's new BBC drama in Liverpool on Tuesday.
Colin McKeown, executive producer for LA Productions says: 'This is a profoundly challenging and sensitive subject, tackled with intelligence and care by Jimmy McGovern. The actress went out for nine years with Harry Potter actor David Thewlis, with whom she has a 15-year-old daughter, and later courted Notting Hill star Rhys Ifans. After her two-year stint on the soap, Anna went on to have an illustrious acting career and even bagged Emmy awards for her portrayal in Pushing Daisies and Marcella.
