Anitta, Karol G, LL Cool J & Shawn Mendes Set As Final Group Of Performers At 2024 VMAs – Update
MTV has pushed the date of the VMAs to Wednesday, September 11 due to the U.S. presidential debate between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.
MTV also announced the first round performers for the awards show, including four-time VMA winner and Grammy nominee Camila Cabello, GloRilla, and first-time nominees Carpenter, Chappell Roan and Latin Grammy winner Rauw Alejandro. Taylor Swift l eads the pack with 10 noms, including Video of the Year, in which she could break her own record as the only artist to ever three-peat and win five times in the category. Following Swift is her “Fortnight” collaborator Post Malone with 9, Ariana Grande, Eminemand Carpenter with 6 each, Megan Thee Stallion and SZA (5 each), and LISA, Olivia Rodrigo and Teddy Swims with 4 each.
