Animated Sex Musical Comedy ‘Spermageddon’ Acquired for France by Originals Factory (EXCLUSIVE)
Originals Factory has acquired French rights to 'Spermageddon,' the raunchy animated sex musical comedy that was a hit in Annecy.
Originals Factory, the distributor that has released the likes of “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” “The Whale” and “20 Days in Mariupol,” has picked up the film, which has already been bought for territories around the world following its premiere last month. Directed by Tommy Wirkola(“Dead Snow,” “Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters”) and Rasmus A. Sivertsen (the “Louis and Luca” franchise), “Spermageddon” — described as “crude and heartwarming” by the filmmakers — tells the story of a teenage couple experiencing their first time and two sperm cells on a fateful journey to find the egg. Originals Factory has proved they were one of the only distributors who could be audacious and innovative enough to bring to the theaters the young adult audience with bold indie cinema proposals, while maximizing ancillary revenues.”
