Anika Noni Rose Speaks Out On Disney’s Princess Tiana Series Not Moving Forward: “Deeply Disappointed”
Anika Noni Rose is breaking her silence over Disney's decision earlier this month not to move forward with animated musical series 'Tiana'.
“Last week an announcement was made regarding the cancellation of the series, Tiana,” she began in a statement shared on Instagram. Set in New Orleans during the 1920s, The Princess and the Frog film tells the story of a hardworking waitress named Tiana who dreams of opening her own restaurant. In addition to Rose, the film starred Bruno Campos, Michael-Leon Wooley, Jim Cummings, Jennifer Cody, John Goodman, Keith David, Peter Bartlett, Jenifer Lewis, Oprah Winfrey and Terrence Howard.
