Angry Birds 3 is set to take flight with Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad returning to voice leads... after earlier films have brought in $500M at the box office
Another sequel for Angry Birds was announced on Thursday, marking the third installment in the popular series. Jason Sudeikis and Josh Gad are set to reprise their roles as Red and Chuck.
'We are thrilled to announce that the brand-new film of the globally beloved and successful Angry Birds franchise is to be in production,' Shuji Utsumi, President and COO at Sega, said the press release. Alongside Sudeikis and Gad, the star-studded voice cast for both films featured Danny McBride, Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Sean Penn, Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key, Bill Hader, and Peter Dinklage, with several of them reprising their roles in the 2019 sequel. Despite The Nice Guys setting up a potential sequel with its conclusion hinting at the duo starting their detective agency, Gosling revealed to ComicBook.com that the film's fate was ultimately determined by its box office performance.
