The Santa Barbara International Film Festival will honor Angelina Jolie with the Maltin Modern Master Award at its 40th annual edition on February 5, 2025. Established in 1995, the Modern Master Award was created to honor filmmakers who have changed the movie industry through significant contributions and impact. Jolie joins a list of past recipients which includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Nicole Kidman, Javier Bardem, Robert Downey Jr., Denzel Washington, Cate Blanchett, George Clooney, Christopher Plummer, Christopher Nolan, James Cameron, Clint Eastwood and Peter Jackson.
