Angela Griffin, 48, says her 'confidence is growing with age' and people now 'take her seriously' as she embarks on surprise career move


The actress, 48, who first found fame as Fiona Middleton in Corrie way back in 1992,  explained how she believes people now take her a 'little bit more seriously'.

Angela explained how her new found confidence has led her to direct episodes of retuning show Waterloo Road, in which she plays headmistress Kim Campbell (pictured) 'Jason is a phenomenal comic actor, and has fully embraced the tone and spirit of the show, we can't wait for the audience to meet Steve Savage and his son Billy. The gritty show - which was written by the creators of ITV prison drama Bad Girls - was originally set in Rochdale but later series saw a relocation to Greenock, Scotland.
