Angela Bassett Returning For ‘Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning’

'Mission: Impossible 8' will see the return of Angela Bassett's CIA Director Erika Sloane, Deadline can exclusively reveal.

In addition to Cruise, returning cast will include Hayley Atwell, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Esai Morales, Pom Klementieff, Vanessa Kirby, Mariela Garriga, Henry Czerny, Shea Whigham, Greg Tarzan Davis, Charles Parnell and Frederick Schmidt. Others making their Mission: Impossible debut in the eighth installment include Holt McCallany, Janet McTeer, Nick Offerman, Hannah Waddingham, Katy O’Brian, and Stephen Oyoung. On the film side, the Honorary Oscar and Emmy winner was most recently seen starring opposite Millie Bobby Brown in the fantasy pic Damsel, which was Netflix’s most-watched in the first half of this year.
