On Monday, Netflix dropped the first teaser for its limited psychological thriller series Ripley - starring Emmy nominee Andrew Scott as the titular con-man - which premieres on April 4 Oscar-winning screenwriter Steven Zaillian's (Schindler's List) wrote and directed all eight episodes of the small-screen adaptation of Patricia Highsmith's 1955 crime novel The Talented Mr. Ripley Zaillian opted for a stark black-and-white, film noir style for Ripley rather than the bronzed colorful cinematography of Anthony Minghella's critically-acclaimed 1999 adaptation starring (from L-R) Matt Damon, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Jude Law
