Andrew Scott Becomes Patricia Highsmith’s ‘Ripley’ in First Trailer for Netflix Series
Andrew Scott stars in Netflix thriller "Ripley," which has just released its first trailer.
The Patricia Highsmith adaptation was originally set up at Showtime, but was acquired by Netflix in a sale between the companies. This isn’t the first iteration of Highsmith’s Tom Ripley character, with Matt Damon playing the role in the 1999 film “The Talented Mr. Ripley.” Based on Highsmith’s novel of the same name, “The Talented Mr. Ripley” followed Tom setting off to bring Dickie Greenleaf (Jude Law) home. Serving as executive producers are Zaillian, Garrett Basch, Clayton Townsend, Guymon Casady, Ben Forkner, Sharon Levy and Philipp Keel of Diogenes.
