Andrew Garfield says Jessica Chastain 'rearranged' the filming schedule for 'The Eyes of Tammy Faye' so he could spend time with his dying mother.
Andrew Garfield recalled in a recent interview with People how Jessica Chastain ensured he would spend time with his mother, Lynn, before she died in 2019 from pancreatic cancer. Based on a true story, the 2021 biopic follows Tammy Faye and Jim Bakker’s rise from humble beginnings to create the world’s largest religious broadcasting network, as well as a Christian theme park. “And it was a combination of trying to commune with the spirit of Jim and Tammy and the place where they set up their temple, in a way, to their god but also to themselves.”
