Andrew Garfield reveals Jessica Chastain's thoughtful gesture before his mother died
Lynn succumbed pancreatic cancer in 2019 in England, during production on Andrew and Jessica's movie The Eyes Of Tammy Faye. Andrew flew back to the UK to be at her side.
Jessica and Searchlight Pictures executive David Greenbaum made tweaks to the itinerary of the shoot in order to enable Andrew's trip. Andrew recalled the warm bond he cultivated with Jessica on the set of their movie, during the emotionally fraught time of his mother's illness. Social media users quickly began raking her over the coals for the post, which they regarded as 'petty' and 'tone deaf' in light of her wealth and fame.
