Andrew Garfield & Ayo Edebiri Praise Working With ‘After The Hunt’ Director Luca Guadagnino: “Was Impressed By How Loose He Was”
Andrew Garfield and Ayo Edebiri praise the work environment director Luca Guadagnino created on the set of After the Hunt.
Edebiri agreed with Garfield and described working with Guadagnino as a “mix of complete openness and specificity of vision,” adding, “I think as an actor that fosters you to come up with so many things and understandings of your character.” The Bear star said it was a “delight” to find out that the Italian filmmaker was a huge “cinephile” and “how knowledgeable he is.” Edebiri said she spent time “talking about movies and the things that he’s seen and is passionate about.” The film follows a college professor (Julia Roberts) who finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when a star pupil (Edebiri) levels an accusation against one of her colleagues (Garfield), and a dark secret from her own past threatens to come to light.
