Amy Winehouse Back To Back FIRST trailer: Marisa Abela is the tragic late singer's double as she documents her heartbreaking rise and fall in chilling teaser clip for controversial biopic
The film stars Marisa Abela as Amy, and the teaser sees the actress, 27, completely transform into the musician, who died from alcohol poisoning aged 27 in 2011.
Marisa's rendition of Amy's 2007 song Back To Black plays as the Industry star appears, looking the spitting image of the hitmaker with her signature winged eyeliner and monroe piercing above her lip He had left the then rising star to pursue his previous ex-girlfriend, but in the end their short-lived separation helped inspired her to create a batch of songs that explore themes of guilt, grief, infidelity, heartbreak and trauma in a relationship. The film is directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and is set to come out in theatres in the UK on April 12, described as 'a never-before-seen glimpse into Amy Winehouse's early rise to fame and the release of her groundbreaking studio album, Back To Black'
