Amy Dowden ‘so grateful’ for Strictly pals' kind move as she juggled cancer treatment with new show Dare to Dance


Strictly Come Dancing star Amy Dowden has revealed that she turned to her BBC show co-stars for help after being diagnosed with breast cancer whilst filming her new series

The Strictly star has spent the last nine months battling grade three breast cancer, undergoing a mastectomy and chemotherapy in treatment after starting to shoot Dare to Dance. In an exclusive interview with OK!, Amy said that "so grateful" that Dianne Buswell, Graziano Di Prima, Oti Mabuse and Carlos Gu stepped in to coach the contributors on her show while she recovered from her mastectomy. From a Wrexham couple planning their upcoming wedding to a young woman who gave up dance after losing her sight and confidence, Amy helps many well-deserving folk feel comfortable on that ballroom floor in the four-part series.
