AMC Networks is rolling out cheaper, ad-supported tiers for all of its niche streaming services after putting ads on its flagship AMC+ bundle.

AMC Networks is rolling out cheaper, ad-supported tiers for all of its niche streaming services after putting ads on its flagship AMC+ bundle late last year. Like many pay-TV programmers, AMC Networks has been making several strategic moves to respond to declines in traditional linear TV subscribers driven by cord-cutting. Kim Kelleher, chief commercial officer of AMC Networks, called last year’s launch of an ad tier on AMC+ “a major step in creating a fully end-to-end ad-supported distribution ecosystem across linear, streaming and CTV/FAST.”
