Amazon MGM Partners With Sony Pictures for International Theatrical Distribution Under New Multi-Year Deal
Sony will handled international theatrical releases for four Amazon MGM titles, including Luca Guadagnino's 'After the Hunt,' under a new deal.
Sony will handle releasing these titles in all international territories, as Amazon MGM intends to establish its own theatrical distribution infrastructure overseas. The psychological drama stars Julia Roberts, Ayo Edebiri and Andrew Garfield and follows the fallout after a college student levels a serious accusation against a professor. Following the calendar, Amazon MGM’s first venture handling international distribution will be on the Colleen Hoover adaptation “Verity,” starring Dakota Johnson, Josh Hartnett and Anne Hathaway.
