Amaya Muruzábal’s M Content, Behind Amazon Hit ‘Red Queen,’ Teams With Ireland’s Vico for Epic Series Project ‘The Patricios’ (EXCLUSIVE)
Directed by “Red Queen,” “Hernán ” Julián de Tavira 'The Patricios' sets in 1846 during the U.S.–Mexico War, following a group of Irish immigrants enlisted in the Texas Rangers.
M Content, the production company founded by Amaya Muruzábal, the creative force behind Amazon MGM Studios’ “Red Queen,” is partnering with leading Irish prodco Vico Films to produce historical epic series project “The Patricios.” Created and written by Muruzábal, the real-facts based series is set in 1846 and follows the Saint Patrick’s Battalion during the U.S.–Mexico War, when a group of Irish immigrants enlisted in the Texas Rangers deserted the U.S. army to join the Mexican side. “To achieve that – they commented – we are actively seeking strong creative and production partners in key territories for this project—primarily the U.S., Mexico, and Germany — or an international distributor with the reach and vision to take this English-language series to audiences worldwide.”
