Amanda Seyfried Says Singing Live In ‘Les Misérables’ Was “Infuriating”: “I Was Not Technically Ready Or Capable”
Amanda Seyfried recalls her time on Les Misérables and says she was not quite ready for the challenging role.
The actress played Cosette in the epic period musical film directed by Tom Hooper. The costumes, the people… We were all really happy to be there, but I, unfortunately, was not technically ready or capable of the live singing in the way that I would’ve liked to be,” Seyfried reflected during an interview with GQ. Seyfried also said she was “worried” about her accent, adding, “But that was the least of my worries.” She noted that having “to be very musical didn’t hit” for her the way it did for her co-stars like Eddie Redmayne and Samantha Barks.
