While Kloots’ belief in her husband’s spirit watching over his family has “gone so much deeper than I ever thought it would be,” she said she thinks that explaining the death of Elvis’ dad in this manner wouldn’t be helpful cognitively. “ I believe that Nick watches over us every single day and is with Elvis at school and with us now… But cognitively, I don't think he's fully aware of it right now,” she said, adding “It's coming, though."
