The TV personality received a wave of support from celeb pals, including Mark Wright and Romesh Ranganathan, while actress Victoria Smurfit chimed in with: "Take it as proof you were both brilliant! Alan Carr was equally enthusiastic in his pre-show remarks, saying: "I am completely thrilled to be asked back to host the Royal Variety Performance so soon, what a compliment and an honour!
