Amanda Abbington has appeared in her first TV interview since quitting Strictly Come Dancing and has slammed BBC bosses for 'abandoning' her amid the row with Giovanni Pernice

The 50 year old actress had a falling out with her professional partner Giovanni Pernice, and their relationship is currently under scrutiny as part of an ongoing BBC investigation. Her interview came just a day after the BBC's Director General expressed his deep regret for any Strictly Come Dancing contestants who have been victims of bullying or abuse - but maintained that the show must continue and would weather the current storm.
